Ricky Akhmad Syarif was born 29 years ago in Karawang – West Java, a small town known as one of the rice barns in Indonesia, and completed his 9 years primary education in a private school belong to a fertilizer company in that town.
Raised in an industry environment, he had dreamed to become an engineer. In 1998, he had the privilege to study in Chemical Engineering – ITB and completed his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in 2002. In 2001, when he served as the President of HIMATEK ITB, he was fortunate to have several opportunities to become a trainer and motivator on leadership, management and other soft skill subjects and never before he felt so excited, passionate and lively. Seeing satisfied, fulfilled and gratified faces had become an unforgettable memory for him. From that day onwards, he have found a new dream of his life that’s to spend the rest of his life sharing experiences, knowledge and lend his hand to bring out the best in others.
In 2005, he won Sampoerna Foundation scholarship to pursue Management Degree in Indonesia. He went to IPMI Business School and completed his degree in 2006.
Currently, he is working as a Commercial Analyst in one of the International Oil Companies (IOC) striving to make the best of his time learning about so many commercial aspects of oil & gas businesses starting from negotiation to commercialization.
